Background
Making powerful advertising tools feel effortless.
eBay offers sellers a range of advertising solutions to grow visibility and drive sales. But as the ecosystem evolved, so did the complexity of discovering, understanding, and adopting these products.
I led design across three parallel initiatives focused on creating simpler, more intuitive advertising experiences throughout the seller journey—from listing an item to launching a campaign and measuring performance.
The Challenge
Complexity was getting in the way of opportunity.
Different seller needs, advertising models, and disconnected entry points made it difficult for sellers to confidently navigate eBay's advertising ecosystem.
The challenge wasn't simply to make individual workflows easier. It was to create clarity across the experience—helping sellers discover the right advertising solutions, understand their value, and take action with confidence.
The Approach
Three focused initiatives. One connected experience.
Rather than treating each initiative as an isolated feature, I approached them as opportunities to simplify key moments across the seller journey.
